Huxford Elementary School hosted a lunch for first responders Tuesday, September 10. Huxford Ambassadors, shown in front, welcomed and assisted the guests. Also, students shared goodies they had made to show their appreciation for the sacrifices first responders make every day.

Rachel Patterson Elementary School held Heroes Day Wednesday, September 11, to honor the area’s first responders. Heroes enjoyed lunch and visited several classrooms. Students presented them with gifts in appreciation for their service.
