Perdido School holds spelling bee
On Wednesday December 7, as the rounds kept rolling on, 23 students, fourth-through eighth-grade level homeroom spelling bee winners vied for the chance to represent Perdido School in the 2017 Scripps National Spelling Bee. Although officials of the local Chamber of Commerce are not happy that the Alabama Department of Corrections has begun leasing office space on North Main Street in Atmore, the city’s chief executive officer said he doesn’t see a problem with the decision.
