Band concerts coming up
The Escambia County High School Band Spring Concert will be held Thursday, April 20, 7 p.m., in the old gym at the school. Band director Hayley Cockrell announced that world famous composer Stephen Melillo is coming to Escambia County to work with band students. The Board of Directors of Pride of Atmore announces the creation of the Yard of the Month award program to show their appreciation and to recognize those homeowners who demonstrate superior effort in maintaining their property, and who, as a result, positively contribute to the overall appearance of Atmore. ACH Auxiliary offers scholarship
Atmore Community Hospital Auxiliary is offering scholarships to individuals pursuing studies in a medical-related field. Students must be currently enrolled in a healthcare program and must have completed at least one year at an accredited school. Graduate students will also be considered. The Escambia Academy Track Team continues their winning ways with their latest competition. The team won the AISA (Alabama Independent School Association) State Track Championship the third time in a row.
