Atmore residents receive UA degrees

The University of Alabama awarded approximately 5,000 degrees during spring commencement May 5-7 in Tuscaloosa. Degree recipients included the following students from Atmore: Caitlyn Bruley, Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Colton Cumbie, Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Information Sciences; James McKinley, Master of Business Administration; Jamieka McMorris, Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Administration; Sarah Ziglar, Bachelor of Science in Education.

You can help drainage system

Atmore Mayor Jim Staff asks residents to help city workers maintain the drainage system by keeping grass clippings off the street and limbs out of ditches. “When folks are mowing their grass, they need to keep their clippings in the yard, not throw them into the street as they mow,” Staff said. “Clippings go right into the city drainage.
