Auditions for ‘Mockingbird’ are Sunday
The Greater Escambia Council for the Arts’ next production is “To Kill a Mockingbird.” Auditions will be held Sunday, August 13, at 2 p.m.

Judy Lucille Smith Ms. Judy Lucille Smith, age 70, of Canoe, Ala., passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at her residence. She was a retired nurse at D.W. McMillan Hospital in Brewton, Ala. She was born in Goodway, Ala. to the late Marshall and Cornelia Lucille Handcock Bowman. She was a member of Robinsonville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Lassiter. UB names photo winners
Two Atmore residents placed in United Bank’s Farm and Landscape Photo Competition. Almost 900 photos were received to be judged. Thursday July 27, an awards banquet was held at Steelwood Country Club in Loxley to honor the finalists. Soap and towel scrimmage
