EA wins season opener
The Escambia Academy Cougars faced two opponents in the season opener Friday night, August 18 – the flu and Abbeville Christian Academy. Several players were out sick last week and were able to practice only on Thursday. The Cougars apparently triumphed over both opponents, beating Abbeville 39 to 18. Byrne to hold Atmore meeting
Congressman Bradley Byrne (R-AL) will hold a town hall meeting in Atmore Tuesday, August 29, 3 p.m., at Atmore City Hall. Already this month, Congressman Byrne has held town hall meetings in Fairhope and Gulf Shores. After the town hall meetings this month, Byrne will have held 94 in-person town hall meetings since being elected to Congress. All of the meetings are open to the public.
