Pepsi football toss
During the high school football season, the local Pepsi Cola Bottling Company awards $500 college scholarships to seniors in the Pepsi Cola Football Toss. The first toss of the season in this area was held at Escambia Academy Friday night with Fred Flavors, left, and Gabby McGhee, right, participating. VFW Auxiliary holding peanut boil, supporting VetDogs
Atmore VFW Auxiliary is hosting a peanut boil Saturday, September 9, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the vacant lot next to the Diamond Shell Station at the corner of Highway 31 and Medical Park Drive. Flomaton woman caught with meth
A 40-year-old Flomaton woman was arrested by Escambia County Sheriff’s Office narcotics officers who found an unspecified quantity of a substance that tested positive for crystal amphetamine. Sheriff’s office reports show that Bethanie Cash Ward of a McMurphy Drive address was arrested August 24 after she was stopped for driving her BMW erratically on a rural roadway.
