Columbus ships Pinta and Nina to land in Orange Beach
On Friday, March 2, the Pinta and the Nina, replicas of Columbus’ ships, will open in Orange Beach. The ships will be docked at The Wharf, 23101 Canal Road until their departure early Tuesday morning March 6. The Nina was built completely by hand and without the use of power tools. Child sex offenders picked up for violations
Two Brewton men, both registered sex offenders who committed crimes against children, were arrested separately this week by county sheriff’s officers for violating the Sex Offenders Registration and Notification Act (SORNA). The first arrest came February 14 after Aaron Lee Hicks, 47, of a South Boulevard address, was seen working at C&C Auto Detailing on St. Nicholas Avenue in Brewton, which is adjacent to Jennings Park, where children regularly play.…
