A win at the buzzer
Escambia Academy hosted the New Year Classic Basketball Tournament December 29 and 30. EA won over Walton High School (Florida) 80-79 when EA’s Fred Flavors made a buzzer-beater 3-point basket. Christmas cheer at ACH
Stitches, Atmore Community Hospital mascot, made rounds at ACH Saturday morning, spreading Christmas cheer to 23 patients as well as visitors and employees. Stitches was assisted by Kharina Gorme in the lab department. Hospital Auxiliary members Patsy Brown and Marlene Forrester also gave out Christmas items. Flomaton teen killed
A 19-year-old Flomaton woman was killed Friday night, December 22, after she was thrown from her car, then twice run over by drivers who did not see her lying in the roadway.
