Alabama Department of Corrections officials have announced this morning’s (Monday, July 23) recapture of a state inmate who was one of two to escape from Loxley Work Release early this morning, and who later crashed his getaway car into a pole at the Chevron station at Exit 57. Atmore News has confirmed rumors that the Atmore Community Hospital Board and Escambia County Healthcare Authority have exercised a contractual option and will soon end their joint management agreement with Infirmary Health.
