Several members of American Legion Post 90 spent Friday morning, May 22 putting flags out around town for Memorial Day. Well wishers participated in a drive-by birthday celebration Thursday, May 21, for Bishop Willie L. Williams, founder and pastor of Jones Street True Pentecostal Holiness Church in Atmore. Word has it that Bishop Williams is the oldest active African American pastor in Atmore – age 82 – and the pastor who has filled a pulpit the longest.
