Big brother Evan Gehman is shown holding Penelope Kate Gehman, his new sister. The newest family member is the daughter of Tristan and Julie Gehman of Atmore.
Penny, as she will be called, was born at 8 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at Springhill Birth Center in Mobile. She weighed 7 lbs.13 oz. and was 19.5 inches long.
Paternal grandparents are Jerry and Faith Gehman of Nokomis. Maternal grandparents are Ruby Lerch and the late Greg Lerch of Reading, Penn.
Penny has another brother, Logan, and according to their grandfather, the two boys will “teach her to love trains just as they do.”
