Thompson to be featured at Books By the Bay

Special to Atmore News

Mandie Thompson of Atmore will be a Signing Author at Books By the Bay, an outdoor book festival in Pensacola next month.
The daylong event, sponsored by nonprofit Emerald Coast Writers, will feature more than 80 bestselling international, national, state and regional authors. Special presenters are New York Times bestselling author Julie Cantrell and award-winning filmmaker, producer Paul Sinor. The family-friendly festival will also include literary exhibitors, author signings, stage performances, book readings, children’s activities and storytelling.
The free festival will take place Saturday, March 29 from 10 to 4 at Museum Plaza, 120 Church Street, in downtown Pensacola and is funded, in part, through a grant from Florida Humanities with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Thompson is a storyteller at heart, specializing in Paranormal Young Adult Reverse Harem novels. With books like The Left Hook, Eve’s Fury, and The Beta Secret, she’s known for her gripping, emotional stories that pull readers right into the action with her first-person, present-tense style. A 2010 graduate with an associate’s degree, Thompson has a knack for weaving real-world challenges into her supernatural tales.
When she’s not writing, Thompson works full-time in Human Resources at a Behavioral Treatment Facility for Juvenile Offenders. In her downtime, she enjoys creating diamond art, helping others, and spending time with her two kids and her husband of over 20 years. Her projects in the works include Uppercut, Eve’s Fight, and The Huntress.
