The Alabama Silver-Haired Legislature’s Christmas gathering was held at David’s Catfish in Atmore Thursday, December 12. Local representative Charlotte Boyle, District 66, hosted the event, also attended by guest Mayor Jim Staff. The following legislators (with district numbers) and guests were scheduled to attend: Clarence and Julia Hudson, 95; Valerie Wiggins, 96; Beverly Cooper, 97; Herman Parks, 98; Betty Houston, 99; Ella and Alvin Jones-Stubbs, 100; Ann Burhans, 101; Peggy Gomez, 102; Robert and Edna Davis, 103; Shirley King, 104; Violetta Simpson, 105. Not able to attend were Barbara Wheeler, 94; and Judy Kramer, 64.
