The Unity in the Community Festival always provides fun, food, games, information, and entertainment. This year, those attending will enjoy Christian ventriloquist Willie Brown from Atlanta. Brown, his friend Woody and others will be at the festival which takes place this Saturday, July 29, at Grace Fellowship Church.
Brown is a nationally known ventriloquist who has appeared several times on BET Comic View, HBO DEF Comedy Jam, Loco Comedy Jam, Phaturdays, The Jenny Jones Show and most recently in a recurring role on the Showtime Network series, Barbershop.
The free community event – jointly sponsored by Grace Fellowship, Concerned Citizens of Atmore and Brewton District Missionary Department – will begin at 11 a.m. (gates will open at 10:30 a.m.) and last until 4 p.m. at the church, located on Highway 31.
All children who are accompanied by at least one parent or guardian will receive free lunch, free school uniforms and free school supplies.
