The following felony arrests were reported by officers of the Atmore Police Department during the period September 1-6:
Mark Hall

Hall

An Atmore man was arrested September 5 on several charges, including manufacturing of and felony possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine after APD investigators executed a search warrant at a Terrace Street residence.
According to reports, lawmen went in the house around 12:30 p.m. as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. As the search commenced, they took Mark Hall, 49, into custody as a “person of interest” in the investigation.
The search turned up a marijuana plant, several grams of cocaine and several grams of an unknown substance that will be sent to the lab for identification. Two firearms, a digital scale and unspecified “other items” were also discovered.
Hall is charged with one count each of second-degree manufacture of a controlled substance (a Class B felony), first-degree possession of marijuana (Class D felony), possession of a controlled substance (Class C felony), possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor), and being a certain person forbidden to possess a firearm (Class C felony).
He was released from the Escambia County Detention Center (ECDC) on bond Friday, September 6.
Jeremiah James

James

A 36-year-old Atmore man was arrested September 4 on three felony charges after city police responded to a disturbance report at a Bragg Street residence.
Police reports show that officers were sent around 9:40 a.m. to the street’s 500 block in reference to a disturbance. When they arrived, they made contact with Jeremiah James, a man recognized by several officers who were familiar with him from other encounters.
Despite that, James — the subject of a Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to appear in court on a traffic violation — reportedly provided a false name and was arrested for obstructing justice by using a false identity, a Class C felony.
James was also in possession of a “small amount” of methamphetamine, as well as a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue and an unspecified quantity of synthetic cannabis (Spice). He was additionally charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Atmore man was processed into the ECDC, from which he was released on bond September 5.
