Ladies from the Mobile and Ft. Mims Daughters of the American Revolution chapters met at the home of Nancy Karrick on August 23, for a gastronomical trip to Cuba.
The ladies were greeted by a 1958 vintage car belonging to Ronald Mosley, who graciously loaned it for a photo op for the ladies.
The table was decorated with miniature vintage cars and tropical flowers, along with car embossed plates. The menu included Cuban sandwich skewers and pina coladas, fried okra salad, shrimp and yellow rice, and black beans and plantain chips. Dessert was homemade coconut ice cream over fresh pineapple, with dulce de leche sauce, and served in a coconut shell.
