Atmore’s annual Unity in the Community Festival will take place Saturday, July 29, at Grace Fellowship Church.
The free community event – jointly sponsored by Grace Fellowship, Concerned Citizens of Atmore and Brewton District Missionary Department – will begin at 11 a.m. (gates will open at 10:30 a.m.) and last until 4 p.m. at the church, located on Highway 31.
The festival, which drew more than 1,000 people last year, is technically a back-to-school celebration that is geared to school-age children, although people of all ages are welcome.
Among the attractions are snow cones and cotton candy, a carnival that includes bouncy houses, rides on a miniature train and numerous games. There will also be popcorn and pony rides.
All children who are accompanied by at least one parent or guardian will receive free lunch, free school uniforms and free school supplies.
