Empowerment Tabernacle in Atmore was one of the primary donors who furnished brand new bicycles for 25 Rachel Patterson Elementary School students just before Christmas. The local church provided $5,000 toward the purchase of 75 bikes, 25 of which were awarded to RPES students, the others to Escambia County Middle School students. Individual donors will be recognized for their philanthropy during a ceremony at the church later this month.
