The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce hosted Christmas in Downtown Atmore Thursday evening, November 30. The evening featured shopping, music, activities for kids, and the lighting of the First National Bank & Trust Christmas tree. Of course, Santa was on hand to listen to children’s wishes. Well, not every child was fond of Santa. Shown, Violetta Gifford was not so happy to sit in Santa’s lap – this was her first visit with Santa. Her brother, Manny Gifford, was a bit more amiable toward the Jolly Ol’ Elf.
