This past Friday night, November 10, Northview swept past Jay in the first round of playoffs with a final score of 31-13. It was a cool, rainy night, yet both teams continued to fight until the very end.
In the first quarter of the game, Northview scored first when Joe Wright ran it in for a touchdown, making the score 7-0 early on. Jay ended up scoring shortly after to retaliate. With a good extra kick, the score was then 7-7.
In the second quarter, Devin Kelly scored for the Chiefs, putting the Chiefs up 14-7.
In the third quarter, Wright got another touchdown of 56 yards. The score was then 20-7. Kelly got another touchdown, bringing the score to 27-7.
In the fourth quarter, Jay scored. Northview kicked a field goal, making the score 31-7 at the end of the ball game.
It was a great game against these two rival teams. Now the Chiefs will travel to Panama City to play against Bozeman this Friday for the second round of playoffs.
