More than 30 people of all ages took part in the 13th annual Women of Distinction (WOD) Cancer Awareness Walk, held Saturday, October 14. The group walked from Atmore City Hall to Houston Avery Park, and marchers paid $10 each. WOD President Yolanda Webster said proceeds from the event, which is held the second Saturday in October each year, will be used to buy gas cards for area cancer patients who travel for treatment.
