Atmore will host Neal this Saturday, September 2, in the season opener for both Escambia River Conference senior youth football program teams.
The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start at Herbert Barnes Field on the Escambia County High School campus, where all the Atmore team’s home games will be played.
The nine-team league consists of squads from Atmore, Neal, Andalusia, Brewton, Excel and Flomaton, as well as Florida teams from Baker, Century and Jay.
Other season openers scheduled for September 2: Andalusia at Baker, Brewton at Excel and Jay at Century. Flomaton has a first-week bye.
The remainder of the Atmore squad’s schedule: Sept. 9 at Century (7:30 p.m.); Sept. 16 at Brewton (1 p.m.); Sept. 23 vs. Andalusia (1 p.m.); Sept. 30 at Flomaton (7:30 p.m.); Oct. 7 Bye; Oct. 14 vs. Baker (1 p.m.); Oct. 21 at Jay (1 p.m.); Oct. 28 vs. Excel (1 p.m.).
