Mary Lois Croley
Mrs. Mary Lois Croley, age 88, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in Brewton, Ala. She has resided most of her life in Castleberry, Ala. She is a member of Castleberry Baptist Church. She retired as a bookkeeper for many years of employment. She enjoyed going to church, sewing, quilting, working puzzles, and working in her flower gardens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph (Ruby Greene) Wright; husband, Luther Croley; one daughter, Sarah Mae Croley; three brothers, Joseph Wright, James Vernon Wright, Paul P. Wright; two sisters, Gladys Eloise Hallford, and Molly Jo Macki.
Mrs. Croley is survived by her one son, Luther J. Croley, of Castleberry; two daughters, Mary Abbott and Janet Croley, both of Brewton, Ala.; two sisters-in-law, Jean Wright, of Memphis, Tenn. and Marcia Wright, of Pelham, Ala.; two grandchildren, Tracey (Tracy) Parr, Amanda Williams (Gene Carpenter); two great-grandchildren, Zack Williams (Crystal Moffett) and Alexandrea Parr, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC with Rev. Timothy Boggs officiating. Burial will follow at Godwin Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel funeral Home LLC.
Pallbearers will be Terry Bush, Gene Carpenter, Louis Tharp, Mark Webb, Jackson Webb, and Zack Williams.

Janet Kay Silvia
Mrs.Janet Kay Silvia, age 74, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 in Atmore, Ala. She was born in Century, Fla. to the late Edward Ash and Thelma McKibben Webb. She was employed with Bill’s Dollar Store in Atmore for many years and later with Belk’s Department Store in Pensacola, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Silvia; her parents; her step-father, William D. Webb and her infant brother, Tommy Ash.
Mrs. Silvia is survived by her sister, Janie Lynn (Gary) Todd of Atmore; her niece, Kristina (Steve) Morris of Atmore; her nephew, Nick (Melissa) Todd of Pace, Fla.; her great-nephews, Jordan Lassitter, Dylan Lassitter, Andrew Todd, Alex Todd and Adam Todd along with her great-great-nieces and nephews, Ryleigh Lassitter, Blakelyn Lassitter, Grayson Todd and Caiden Todd.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Mable Rolin Lambert
Mrs. Mable Rolin Lambert, age 78, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 in Atmore, Ala. She was a lifelong resident of Atmore. She was a member of Gospel Light Church and Poarch Band of Creek Indians. She was a seamstress with Vanity Fair Mills with many years of employment. She valued her time she spent with her family and friends and loved singing and going on the adventurous trips with the Tribe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.B. (Dorothy McGhee) Rolin; four brothers, Charles Rolin, Arthur Rolin, Wilbert Rolin, Norman Rolin, and one sister, Geneva Shivers.
Mrs. Lambert is survived by her husband, Sherrel Lambert of Atmore; two sons, Ronnie (Peggy) Lambert and Danny (Tammy) Lambert, all of Atmore; four brothers, David (Dorothy) Rolin of Walnut Hill, Fla., Clarence (Dianne) Rolin, Ray (Norma Jean) Rolin, Raymond (Kathy) Rolin, all of Atmore; two sisters, Joyce Kuhn and Debra Strickland, all of Atmore; four grandchildren, Trevor Lambert, Trent (Victoria) Lambert, Tyler (Sadie) Lambert, Trey Lambert; two great-grandchildren, Heidi Lambert, Josie Lambert; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 31, 2022 at Gospel Lighthouse Church at 10 a.m. with Rev. Clarence Rolin, Rev. Johnny Rolin, and Marty Gehman officiating. Burial will follow at Mothershed Cemetery.

Leedell Peoples
Mr. LeeDell Peoples, 59, of Perdido, Ala. passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at USA Medical Center in Mobile, Ala., only nine days after his only brother, Jessie Lee Peoples passed.
A native of Monroe County, he attended school in Baldwin Co. He was employed as a forklift driver and had served in the U. S. Army.
He was preceded him in death, his parents, Willie Lee and Fannie M. Porter; his son, Reginald Alexander Yancy; his brother, Jessie Lee Peoples; his grandparents, Will and Alberta Peoples and David and Mary Francis Porter.
Mr. Peoples is survived by Maxine Austin and Carla Peoples, both of Pensacola, Fla., Voncile Peoples of Flint, Mich., Maybell Boggan of Crowley, Texas, Genevia Peoples of Perdido, Ala., Patricia Peoples of Montgomery, Ala., a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 2 – 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ashton Dakota Smith
Mr. Ashton Dakota Smith, age 24, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 in Bay Minette, Ala. He has resided in Atmore, Ala. all of his life. He loved airplanes, flags, and dancing. He enjoyed the simple things in life and enjoyed spending time outside.
He was preceded in death by his devoted grandmother, Louise Jones; special aunt, Levonda Gabriel Jones and special friend, Mary Ellen Ray.
Mr. Smith is survived by his mother, Wanda Jones, of Atmore; special aunt, Patty (Henry) Wiggins, of Atmore; uncle, Tony Jones, of Pine Grove, Ala.; Marvin “Tabo” (Teresa) Jones, of Montgomery, Ala.; two brothers, Dillon (Crystal) Marshall, of Atmore and Hunter Revel, of Brewton, Ala.; two sisters, Brittany Revel, of Brewton, Ala. and MaKayla (Hayden) Sage, of Atmore; numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Joseph Ray Birindelli, Jr.
Mr. Joseph Ray Birindelli, Jr., age 78, of Fairhope, Ala., passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022. He was a graduate of Virginia Military Institute; was the Platoon Leader of the 3rd Platoon of Charlie Troop of the 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment in Vietnam during 1967 and 1968. He was awarded two Silver Stars and a Bronze Star with “V” device for his heroism. He retired from the US Army Mobile District Corps of Engineers after 35 years. He was a Life Member of the Society of the 1st Infantry Div.; Military Order of Purple Heart, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and the Joe Birindelli Chapter 864 Vietnam Veteran of America, Military Officers of America. He was a kind and gentle man who loved having fun.
Mr. Birindell is survived by his wife, Sarah (Sissy) Joyner Birindelli of Fairhope; daughters, Kelley Scott and Amy McElroy (Ray) of Atlanta, Ga.; sons, Jay Birindelli, III (Shaun) of Fort Mitchell, Ky., Blake Birindelli (Paula) of Charlotte, N. C., Walter Scott of Los Angeles, Calif.; brother, Ben Birindelli (Nancy) of Southern Shores, N. C.; sister, Beverly Knott (John) of Las Vegas, Nev.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandsons and a host of other living relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 3 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Knoll Park, Fairhope, Ala. Burial will be at a later date at the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.

Mr. Jessie Lee “Buddy” Peoples, age 64, of Flint, Mich., formerly of Perdido, Ala., passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022, nine days before his only brother, LeeDell Peoples passed on January 20, 2022.

Ms. Mary M. Fields, age 99, of Stockton, Ala., passed away Monday, January 24, 2022.
A native of Stockton, she was a laborer at Bacon McMillian Mill. She enjoyed planting flowers, cooking and watching the “Price is Right”.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; her son, Samuel Williams; her father, Richmond Fields; her mother, Cathleen Fields; her sister, Violet Fields Nye; two brothers, James R. Fields and John M. Fields,
Ms. Fields is survived by her nieces and nephews, with Catheren Nye Williams and Mitchell Nye being devoted.

Mrs. Shirley Adkinson Proctor, age 80, passed away Saturday January 29, 2022. She was
born to the late Earl and Josephine Adkinson Sr. She was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She loved the mountains, flowers, and shopping. She was a homemaker, and took pride in taking care of her family, whom she loved dearly. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-three years, Jimmy C. Proctor; her parents; brothers, Earl Adkinson Jr., Brinkley Adkinson, and Ruben Adkinson; sisters, Shirldia Grey, and Joanna Roscoe.
Mrs. Proctor is survived by her sons, Jimmy Lamar (Melissa) Proctor and Buddy Herbert Harold “Buddy” Proctor Jr.; daughters, Donna L. (John) Potenski and Sandra Proctor (Stacy) Johnson; brothers, Edward Adkinson, Robert Adkinson, and Wade Adkinson Jr.; sister, Mary Fordham; twelve grandchildren (Destiny Patterson of Atmore) and twelve great-grandchildren.
