Alabama’s voluntary pre-K program – First Class Pre-K – is accepting applications through March 15 for classes at Rachel Patterson Elementary School.
Enrollment is open to all children four years of age on or before 9/1/21 who are residents of Alabama and the Escambia County School Zone.
Enrollees must provide a copy of the child’s birth certificate and proof of residence – either a current utility bill or copy of a lease or mortgage (both may be uploaded into the online pre-registration site or submitted directly to the local school).
There is no registration fee for this program.
Upon enrollment, the child’s immunization record must be provided.
No child will be denied participation on basis of income, sex, race, color, national origin, or disability.
Acceptance to the program is strictly through random drawing to be held on March 18 or March 19) time and location TBD). Parents / guardians do not have to be present at the drawing. Notices will be emailed beginning April 16.
