Special to Atmore News
Atmore Community Hospital (ACH) has partnered with Montgomery Radiology Associates, which will be providing imaging and interventional services to ACH with 24/7 coverage to assist the hospital’s radiology department as of February 27.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with the partnership with Montgomery Radiology Associates,” ACH Interim Administrator Suzanne McGill said. “One of the biggest needs of any hospital or medical facility is radiology services and having such a qualified team will be a benefit not only to our hospital, but most importantly to our patients.”
Montgomery Radiology Associates provides professional radiology coverage for 20 hospitals and imaging centers throughout southern and central Alabama. They have been the leading provider of interpretation of radiological services in Alabama since 1963. Consisting of 35 board certified radiologists and thanks to a teleradiology operation staffed 24x7x365 in Montgomery, the physicians of Montgomery Radiology Associates are able to view, evaluate, interpret and discuss the patient’s exam with the specialized experience and training needed to properly evaluate his/her health. No other radiology group in this area can provide the level of educational diversity, training, and teamwork Montgomery Radiology Associates has to offer.
“Having grown up in a town in North Alabama much like Atmore, I was thrilled to see the charm of the city and the warmth of all the people we met,” MRA President Dr. Mark LeQuire said. “Coming to Atmore will be like coming home. We are all dedicated to preserving the quality of care that is at ACH and taking it to the next level with all of your staff.”
