Last Saturday, April 5, the Canoe Church congregation held a benefit yard sale for Eric Strehl and his family as he battles cancer. There was also an online raffle on the church’s Facebook page with a chance to win three different prizes.
A church member said later, “We are so grateful that we live among people who want to help others in times of need. We serve a mighty God! He can take a little and multiply it beyond what we can imagine!”
This small congregation raised more than $3,000 for the Strehl family. They stand on this verse: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21 NKJV
