APD officers, at left, await the arrival of a tow truck, while at right city firemen remove wreck debris from the entry lanes to Walmart, where a two-vehicle collision occurred Friday morning, March 7. Atmore police, two Medstar ambulances and Atmore firefighters were sent around 9:30 a.m. to the crash site. Police reports show that a 2015 Buick Lacrosse and a 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo were involved. The driver of the Monte Carlo was taken by ambulance to Atmore Community Hospital. The driver of the Buick had to be extracted by firefighters due to damage sustained by the vehicle from impact. The driver of the Buick did not have any injuries.
Police did not identify the drivers.
