A Brewton man, convicted here four years ago for dealing drugs, was denied parole during recent hearings by the Alabama Board of Pardons & Parole. It was the second time since December 2022 that he has been turned down.
Rasheen Ja’Darius Thomas was convicted in 2020 on three counts of distribution of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to serve 15 years on the first count, with sentences of 97 months and 5 years to be served concurrently.
Thomas, who also served a 3-year sentence for a 2015 drug distribution conviction here, had been in prison on his latest conviction for 4 years and 24 days. According to Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) records, he had accumulated 1,882 days of “good time,” but 1,081 of those were revoked.
Thomas is currently housed at Limestone Correctional Facility. ADOC data shows he will be eligible for parole again on August 1, 2025. Unless he is granted an early release then, he will remain behind bars until at least January 4, 2027.
