Dorothy Stacey Snellgrove
Dorothy Stacey Snellgrove, age 95, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024 at her home. She was born in Fountain, Ala. and was a graduate of Barton Academy High School. She attended business school and began her career of Data Processing until her retirement at age sixty-two. Later in 2008, she moved to Atmore and became a member of Huxford Baptist Church. She touched many people in her lifetime
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Lee Griffin and her granddaughter, Angie Potter.
Ms. Snellgrove is survived by her sons, Terry Dale (Jennifer) Snellgrove and Roger (Diane) Browning; four grandchildren, Jamie Lee Browning, Shannon Messick, Roddy (Aaron) Browning and Wesley (Katie) Browning; seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any local animal shelter.

Rodney Scott Owens
Dr. Rodney Scott Owens, age 71, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Texas to Tolbert and Bessie Marie Richerson Owens. He was a graduate of Escambia County High School and later graduated in 1992 from the Doctor of Chiropractic Program at Life University in Marietta, Ga. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church and the former mayor of the City of Atmore.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Dr. Owens is survived by his wife, Donna Morris Owens; his sons, Johnathan (Angelique) of Atmore and Jason (Melissa) of Birmingham, Ala.; his sister, Marilyn Davidson of Atmore and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts, please make a donation to Pilots for Christ, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.”

Kerrie Lee Boutwell
Mrs. Kerrie Lee Boutwell, age 50, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024. She was born in Atmore. She was a graduate of Woodham High School. She loved her family dearly.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Peggy Mitchell and her brother-in-law, Jeremy Boutwell.
Mrs. Boutwell is survived by her husband, Terrell Wade Boutwell of Atmore; her mother, Jill Hall of Atmore; her father, Gary (Judy) Wiggins of Walnut Hill, Fla.; her children, Nealy Wiggins of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Kierra McGhee of Poarch, Ala., Nathan Boutwell of Atmore, Landon Boutwell of Huxford, Ala. and Brooke Boutwell of Atmore; her sisters, Melissa McElhaney of Walnut Hill, Jessica (Terry) Levins of Byrneville, Fla., Amanda (Bobby) Walls of Davisville, Fla. and Deana (Shawn) Jones of Beulah, Fla.; her special grandchildren, Elliana Scott, Na’Kiya McGhee and one on the way; her sister-in-law, Sandra Boutwell of Nokomis, Ala.; her brothers-in-law, Randall Boutwell of Atmore and Marcus Boutwell of Poarch; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date with Rev. Jim Bankhead officiating.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Bay Springs Full Gospel Church.

Martin Eby Gehman
Reverend Martin Eby Gehman, of Atmore, Ala., of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024 at North Baldwin Infirmary, Bay Minette, Ala. He was born near Selinsgrove, Pa. to the late Harry and Sarah (Eby) Gehman. As Pastor, business-owner and radio broadcaster, he spent his life ministering to the Atmore community and Gospel Light Church. He and his wife shared a deep love for Vernie’s Creek Nation family and dedicated their lives to serving them in Christ.
Martin ministered to countless lives through his service as a missionary, a lead pastor, owner of Marty’s Cabinet Shop and Furniture Company, and a radio station operator/producer for WASG, WYDH, and recently, WGYJ-LP. Many in Atmore enjoyed “Mom ‘n Pop’s Suppertime Gospel” which Martin and Vernie hosted together. Martin’s radio ministry reached listeners around the world with Contemporary Christian and Gospel music as well as preaching “The Whole Gospel for the Whole World”.
He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-five years, Vernie Lee (Barnhill) Gehman; his son, Randy “Dale” (Darlene) Gehman of Ephrata, Pa.; three brothers and three sisters; Arthur Gehman, John Gehman, Lester Gehman, Edith (Gehman) Groff, Grace (Gehman) Aungst and Lucy (Gehman) Rudy.
Rev. Gehman is survived by Martin Gerald “Jerry” (Faith) Gehman, David Wayne (Shyrell) Gehman and Martha Elaine Gehman (Todd) Gookin, all of Atmore and Joseph “Joe” Lynn (Rhonda) Gehman, Pelham, Ala.; his brother, his brother Jacob Gehman. He was a cherished Grandfather to sixteen grandchildren and eighteen beautiful great-grandchildren. As Psalm 127 says, Martin delighted in his quiver-full and kept them daily in his prayers and love.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Petty Funeral Home located at 9260 Highway 31, Atmore, AL 36502.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 8, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Unity Baptist Church located at 10310 Hwy 31, Atmore. Interment will follow in a public ceremony at Serenity Gardens Cemetery located on Highway 31, East of Atmore near the municipal airport.
