Atmore Lions donate to Pilots for Christ

Lions President Joyce Petty, left, presents a check to Ashley Pharr with Pilots for Christ.

Special to Atmore News

Atmore Lions Club President Joyce Petty recently presented a check for $6,300 to Ashley Pharr, a representative of Pilots for Christ located in Monroeville. Lion Joyce also added a check on behalf of Escambia County Probate Judge Doug Agerton, and Lion Sara Smith also presented her personal check to Ashley Pharr. The funds for Sara’s donation to Pilots for Christ were the proceeds from the sale of several handbags bags she sold for this project.
The Club also inducted new members – Rachel Holland, Brad Trotter, and Michael Von Kyersling.
Lion Kerra Mascaro presented last week’s program about her coffee bean roasting company. She also updated the group on the other part of her local business, The Coffee House, which has been in business on West Ridgeley Street for 12 years.
This was just another week of Atmore Lions Club “ … helping our community and making a difference,” according to Joyce Petty.
