Special to Atmore News

Atmore VFW Auxiliary 7016 honored some members of Cub Scout Pack 31 and Boy Scout Troop 31 from Flomaton Monday, September 9, for their assistance helping the Auxiliary put flags out for Memorial Day.
This was the Boy Scouts / Cub Scouts first meeting since the event (they don’t meet during the summer), hence the delay in the presentation.
Each child recreated a “Patriotic Youth Certificate” a R.A.P. Card (Random Act of Patriotism) and a “Thank You” challenge coin. The Auxiliary also gave a R.A.P card to the Cub Scout member who volunteered to lead the Pledge, and challenge coins to the parents who helped the Auxiliary as well.
