The following felony arrests were reported by officers of Atmore Police Department during the period September 7 through 15:
Virgil Peoples

Peoples

An Atmore man was charged September 15 with felony marijuana possession after police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on East Sunset Drive.
The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. When police arrived, they “observed two family members involved in a heated argument” and separated them.
While inside the residence, officers noticed a container with approximately 15 grams of marijuana in it, along with a digital scale and other paraphernalia.
Virgil Peoples, 23, was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Peoples was booked into the ECDC, where he remained Monday, September 16.
Christopher Hall

A Georgia man was arrested September 9 after he allegedly threatened at least one other person with a gun, then fired a shot to accent his anger.
According to police reports, officers were sent around 8:55 p.m. to a business in the 1300 block of East Nashville Avenue after dispatchers relayed a report of a person “brandishing a handgun” at the business.
The suspect was gone when police arrived, but the victims were able to provide a description that eventually led to the arrest of 37-year-old Christopher Hall of Williamson, Ga.
Witnesses told police Hall threatened the victims with a handgun, then “discharged the handgun into the air or into the ground.”
A criminal history check revealed that Hall has a prior conviction in Fulton County, Ga. for violating a domestic violence protection order, and he was placed under arrest.
Escambia County Detention Center (ECDC) records show Hall was booked into the facility on one count each of being a certain person forbidden to possess a firearm, menacing, and discharging a firearm within the city limits.
He was released from jail on September 11. No mugshot was available.
Corderius Green

Green

A Tuscaloosa man was jailed September 10 after he tried to elude a city patrol officer who spotted him speeding down the middle of a narrow city street.
Police reports show that the incident began around 12:25 a.m. when the policeman spotted a vehicle “on Wilson Avenue, driving at a high rate of speed in the middle of the street.”
The APD officer activated his blue lights and siren in an attempt to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver — later identified as Corderius Green, 21 — “accelerated to over 20 miles per hour over the posted speed limit and refused to stop.”
A brief pursuit ended when Green lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a ditch on Swift Street. He was taken to Atmore Community Hospital for assessment of his injuries, then arrested on charges of felony attempting to elude a police officer.
Green is also the subject of an active Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office warrant. He was released from the ECDC at 5 a.m. on September 15, apparently to Tuscaloosa County authorities.
Lajerrick Crook

Crook

A Baldwin County man was arrested September 14 after police responded to report of a domestic disturbance at a 4th Avenue residence.
The officers responded around 11:50 p.m. and were told that Lajerrick Crook, 32, of Bay Minette had been threatening the victim for several days.
Crook was eventually found, hiding in a locked room that is detached from the house. While they were taking Crook into custody, he began pulling away and refused to comply with commands. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle.
Crook is charged with two counts of second-degree domestic violence related to burglary and stalking, and one count of resisting arrest.
He was processed into the ECDC, where he remained Monday, September 16.
