Lois Montel
Mrs. Lois Montel, age 81, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024 in Atmore, Ala. She resided in Montgomery, Ala. for many years and in Atmore the past fifteen years. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She enjoyed her family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was self-appointed “Mayor” of The Meadows and enjoyed interacting with the residents. She loved gospel music and was a big “Alabama Football and “Atlanta Braves Fan”.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lavon (Bertha Jackson) Brooks; husband, Daniel Montel and one sister, Sue Wooten.
Mrs. Montel is survived by her one son, Rusty (Jean) Montel of Huxford, Ala.; one daughter, Teresa Eveline Montel (Jimmy) Stanton, of Century, Fla.; three brothers, Robert (Patricia) Brooks and Micky (Carol) Brooks, all of Montgomery, Ala. and Johnny Brooks of Sulphur, La.; two sisters, Donna (Carl) Smith of Brownwood, Texas and Jane (Dr. Jeff) Snyder of Tallahassee, Fla.; five grandchildren, Aaron Rodgers, Jessika Bennett, Craig Montel, Josh Montel and Tyler Lessard; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Long officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 3:30 p.m. until service time at 4:30 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be John Johnson, Wayne Baker, David Zigler, Brandon Strawbridge, Tim Wilkinson and Noel Moore.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.

Helen Susan Barnes
Mrs. Helen Susan Barnes, age 72, of Bratt, Fla. Wednesday, July 31, 2024. She loved the lord and her family. She enjoyed cooking, playing the piano and singing. She loved going to the mountains and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas (Louise) Fillingim; sister, Gail (Seabo) Chavers and brother, Neil (Sonja) Fillingim.
Mrs. Barnes is survived by her loving husband of fifty-four years, Leslie Barnes; children, Blake (Heather) Barnes, Lindsay (Dustin) Rector and Ryleigh Sue Barnes; siblings, Butch (Faye) Fillingim, Johnny (Patsy) Fillingim; grandchildren, Naudia, Zack, Tyler, Sophia, Zander, Emma, Lucas, Dalton and Aiden; a host of precious nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Noon at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC. with Rev. Mel Coon officiating. Burial will follow at Godwin Cemetery.

Sheila Donaldson
Sheila Donaldson, age 68, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Friday, August 2, 2024 in Pensacola, Fla. She was born in Atmore to Harvey and Elma Lee Bradberry. She was a 1974 graduate of Ernest Ward High School. She was a retired loan processer at First National Bank & Trust. She was a dedicated Christian, mother and friend. She was a very talented pianist playing the piano for Walnut Hill Baptist Church for over twenty years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was survived by her sons, Michael (Beth) Donaldson of Daphne, Ala. and Steven (Lauren) Donaldson of Atmore; her brother, Harvey Bradberry of Walnut Hill, Fla.; six grandchildren, Paisley Donaldson, Ivey Donaldson, Christian Donaldson, Lux Donaldson, Silas Donaldson and Ellie Donaldson and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ted Bridges officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Linda Kaye Myers
Mrs. Linda Kaye Myers, age 51, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024 in Atmore, Ala. She resided most of her life in Houston, Texas before moving to McDavid, Fla. for the past 20 years. Her enjoyed tubing on the water. She was an Alabama Football Fan, liked listening to country music and loved George Straight.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee (Bonnie Sue) Hadley; two children, Timothy and Kaitlyn; grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.
Mrs. Myers is survived by her three children, Kenneth Lee Evans, Kodie Eugene Parker (Ashley) Evans, and Kayla Michelle Mangrum (Christian); eleven grandchildren, Crimson Lee, Noel Mechelle, Blakelynn Elizabeth, Dakota Lee, Rileigh Ann, Ansleigh Claire, Karleigh Marie Parker, Whitleigh Grace, Brentleigh Rae, Liliana Michelle, Everley Kaye; one sis Betty Mchelle (Shelley) Hearne; husband, Wayne; one niece, Amanda Kaye; two nephews, Justin Blake, J.R, many more family and friends.

Anita Louise Price Hill
Anita Louise Price Hill, age 64, of Brewton, AL went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 2, 2024. She was born on March 20, 1960 in Cape Charles, VA to George Conklin Price and Grace Kelley Hill. Anita was an animal caregiver. She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, George R. Price, Burleigh Nickles Price and Mary Francis Price Bennett.
Anita is survived by her three children, James Price, John Price and Georgie Price; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews and her stepsister, Sheryl.
No services will be held at this time.

Tracy Jean Brown
Mrs. Tracy Jean Brown, age 55, born in and a lifelong resident of Bay Minette, Ala. passed away, Saturday, July 27, 2024. She was a kind soul and a head strong woman. She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. She loved listening to her father and brother, Clay sing. She married the love of her life and loved spending time with their grandchildren. She always had an open heart to many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Mac Brown; one son, David Allen Cooper; father, Rudy; and two brothers, Clay and Ray.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her children, Bobby Derrick Cooper, Robert (Erica) Cooper, Issac Mathes, Haley Cooper, Dara Cooper; six grandchildren, Isaih Mathes, Haven Mathes, Micah Mathes, Jacob Mathes, Jayce Mathes, Emma Grace Mathes; mother, Jean Cooper; siblings, Slay (Rhonda) Cooper, Stacy (Angela) Cooper, Cody Cooper, Wade Cooper, Colleen (Terry) Philyaw and many nieces, nephews, and her dog, Mrs. Mam.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Faith Outreach of Miracles Church with Pastor, Jimmy Dubose officiating .Burial will follow at White House Fork Cemetery.
