The Poarch Creek Indians announce the induction of Nancy Lowrey into Positive Maturity’s Top 50 over 50. The 2024 Top 50 over 50 honorees were recognized at the organization’s gala event on Thursday night in Birmingham.
Honorees are nominated by their fellow citizens, co-workers, family and friends.
Honorees are chosen based on one or more of the following: volunteer / civic engagement and community impact; business or lifetime of achievements; caregiving, medical or social services professions; education or a lifetime of achievement in this category; individuals from Alabama who may no longer live in the state, but whose impact deserves recognition.
As a founding partner of FS Advisors, Inc., Lowrey has more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry. Additionally, she is a registered investment advisor and a licensed insurance agent. Her firms provide investment management, finance, benefits administration, and insurance services exclusively to Native American tribes.
Prior to establishing FSA in 2005, Lowrey was a partner of Financial Solutions, Inc., a financial services company that provided investment and insurance services to high-net-worth individuals and small business owners. She has worked in various areas of bank management and as an economic development planner for the Poarch Creek Indians. She also had the honor of serving as a Tribal Council Member for the Tribe and as a board member of the PCI Gaming Authority.

The Top 50 over 50 event was created in 2014 by Positive Maturity to recognize older adults in the community who find opportunities to make a difference and become a catalyst in the world. As one of the first senior organizations established in Jefferson County, Ala., Positive Maturity was originally created to assess and meet the needs of the aging population.
