Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce officials and Ambassadors, as well as several supporters, joined James Brooks (with scissors) and his wife Kenyatta (holding Sydney) for the June 14 ribbon-cutting to Play Palace, a “fun zone” where kids from toddlers up to age 12 can take part in learning activities, jump on miniature inflatables or play foosball, basketball, pinball-type video games and more.

A total of 13,103 students enrolled during Spring Semester 2024 at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean’s List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President’s List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A’s).The UA dean’s and president’s lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. Parker Reynolds of Atmore has received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Administration degree from The University of Alabama. He received his degree during the spring commencement ceremonies.
