Escambia County High School wrestler Elijah “EJ” Thomas, a five-sport athlete, displays the second-place medal he earned in his weight class (Class 1A-4A competition) at the AHSAA State Wrestling Championships, held last weekend in Huntsville. Thomas, a senior, caught 28 passes for 476 yards and 5 touchdowns while also returning 2 kicks for scores during his senior football season and is also listed on the school’s track, basketball and baseball rosters.
