More than 40 children of First Baptist Church’s daycare program released balloons Friday, September 29, in tribute to friends and family who suffer from or have lost their lives to cancer. Cindy Cobb said an unidentified FBC teacher who has breast cancer was to have been the primary honoree but was unable to attend, so Ana-Lois Mercer, who was honored last year, was the focus again this year.
