Steven Ernest Joy Mr. Steven Ernest Joy, age 67, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023 in Atmore, Ala. He was born in Dover, N. H. He raised his family in Mobile, Ala. before moving back to Atmore later in life. He was a member of Unity Non-Denominational Church of Mobile. Burger frenzy
Traffic was backed up for more than a mile on South Main Street Monday evening, May 8, as locals waited for a rare chance to experience Ponderosa Party Burgers at David’s Catfish House, which originally operated as The Ponderosa. Some diners reported waiting in line almost 90 minutes to get the miniature sandwiches, offered at 50 cents each, while they lasted, in celebration of the restaurant’s 30th year in business.…
