Douglas Caraway
Mr. Douglas Caraway, age 75, of Griffin, Ga., formerly of Bratt, Fla. passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2023, after a short stay in Kennestone Hospital, Marietta, Ga. He graduated from Auburn University with a mechanical engineering degree; worked for John Blue Tractor Company in Huntsville, Ala.; McDonough Power and Equipment Company designing Snapper lawnmowers in McDonough. After retiring, he started his own custom fence work, building many miles of beautiful fences around Griffin. He loved horses, roping, and even did some rodeoing in his younger days. He liked to farm, and raise cattle. He enjoyed sitting back reading and watching RFD TV and Westerns
He was preceded in death by his parents, JB and Gertrude Caraway; one sister, Eloise Otnes; two brothers, Homer Caraway and Carl Caraway.
Mr. Caraway is survived by his brother, Clark (Edna) Caraway of Bratt; one sister, Hilda (Jimmie) Malone of McDavid, Fla.; nieces, Sandra Maddox, Lisa (Roger) Cross, Amy (Wayne) Holland; nephew, Willie (Audrey) Caraway; great-nephews, Stephen (Sharon) Caraway, Ben Linton, Braden (Emily) Cross; great-nieces, Kalee Lowery, Adelyn Cross, Ariel (Brett) Johnson; great-great niece, Mila Ray Lowery.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Petty- Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC. with Rev. Nathan Brown officiating.
Burial will follow at Godwin Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 11a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC.
Pallbearers will be Roger Cross, Wayne Holland, Harvey Bradberry, Branden Cross, Wayne Godwin and Brett Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Coy Register, Claude Kent, Jerry Kent and Willie Peebles.

Kenneth Dustin White
Mr. Kenneth Dustin White, age 35, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 in Brewton, Ala. He was born in Brewton and has resided in Atmore, Ala. the past twelve years. He was employed with Smith Tractor Company as a diesel mechanic for several years. He enjoyed anytime he could be outdoors always looking for the next adventure whether it be, hunting, fishing or mud riding. Going out to the woods and shooting with his dad was a favorite pastime, he had a passion for camping, riding his motorcycle, floating down the creek and spending time with his family and most especially his children. He was a graduate from Nascar Technical Institute as a diesel mechanic, he was also an avid Auburn fan…” War Eagle”.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James White, Earl Huckabaa, Mamie Coleman and uncle, Tommy White.
Mr. white is survived by father, Ken (Cheryl) White of Jay, FL.; mother, Redda White, of Brewton; wife of twelve years, Shelly White of Atmore; one son, Mason Thomas White of Atmore; two daughters, Aylea Michele White and Ayvah Maree White, both of Atmore; two brothers, Shon (BJ) Biddle of Brewton and Bo (Terri) Biddle of Evergreen, Ala.; two step-brothers, Jacob Lowry and Cody Lowry; grandmother, Berth White, of Jay; uncle, Keith (Michelle) White of Timnath, Colo.; step-father, Philip Capps of Brewton.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC. with Rev. Don Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Lottie New Home Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 8 p. m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC.
Pallbearers will be Bo Biddle, Shon Biddle, Grant Swalve, Earl Huckabaa, Sam Bass, and Chris Etheridge.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Ball and Shawn Qualls.
