Atmore man, Fla. woman jailed on felony drug charges

A Sebring, Fla. woman and an Atmore man were jailed September 4 on felony drug violations after Atmore police discovered them on the U.S. 31 property where Buster’s Restaurant formerly operated.
Police reports show that Tiffany Denise Dale, 38, and Danial Payton Taylor, 52, are each charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance (a felony) and possession of drug paraphernalia (a misdemeanor).
A police officer spotted the duo on the property around 12:40 p.m., despite several “No Trespassing” signs and a band of yellow tape. A search of the couple’s property turned up several syringes with a crystal-like residue that field-tested positive for methamphetamine, along with spoons and other items that also contained residue that field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
Dale was released from ECDC September 7 on bond. Taylor, who is also the subject of warrants in Escambia and Baldwin counties, remained behind bars late early Tuesday, September 12, without bond.
Other felony arrests reported by Atmore police, or arrests of Atmore residents by other agencies during the period September 1-7, included:
*A 63-year-old Atmore woman is free on bond after she was jailed September 4 by city police in connection with a domestic incident.
Atmore Police Department reports show that officers were sent to a Point Escambia Circle address around 1:15 a.m. in response to a report of a domestic dispute. Members of her family told officers they were arguing when Janice Grant grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim in the leg.
Police said the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated and released at a local medical facility.
Grant, who is charged with second-degree domestic assault (a Class B felony), was released from jail September 7 on bond.
*Sydni Erin Weatherholtz, 30, of Pensacola, Fla. was arrested September 1 by Atmore police and charged with felony drug possession.
Weatherholtz, who is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, was out on bond after being arrested here June 1 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
The Pensacola woman was released on bond September 8.
*Randall Ray Weaver, 25, of Atmore was arrested September 7 by Escambia County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (meth).
Weaver was released on bond later the same day.
