H.O. Weaver & Sons crews began applying the final layer of asphalt to West Ridgeley Street Tuesday morning, May 2, part of a 21-street, $2.6 million City of Atmore paving project. Mayor Jim Staff said the Mobile-based paving contractor, which began paving last week, was ‘getting after it’ and ‘causing the least trouble they can” for motorists. A Weaver employee directing traffic as another crew worked on West Louisville Street Tuesday, said the company had “about 10 more streets left” before the project would be completed.
