Rachel Patterson Elementary School recently celebrated their teachers whose students are leading the way in reading and math on the mid-year i-Ready assessment. The teachers were recognized and presented gift cards for the highest percentage of students on grade level (green) or the most growth on their grade level.
“Teachers are difference makers in the classroom,” RP Principal Toya McMillian said. “We are very proud of our teachers’ hard work and our students’ progress”
i-Ready READING Teacher Leaders recognized are
* Lauren Beasley, third grade highest percentage on grade level
* Tonya Emmons, second grade highest percentage on grade level
* Jessica Lockett, most growth in second grade
* Ally Brooks-Mallett, kindergarten highest percentage on grade level
* Julie Rowland, first grade highest percentage on grade level
Rowland, Brooks-Mallett, and Beasley’s students showed the most growth in their grade levels as well.

* Phyllis Moorer, second grade highest percentage on grade level
* Julie Rowland, first grade highest percentage on grade level – tied with Caroline Hughes’ class
* Cynthia Scott, most growth in kindergarten and the highest percentage on grade level – tied with Ally Brooks-Mallett’s class
* Anna Tingle, most growth in third grade
