Escambia County Middle School recently announced its Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year selections.
First, the Elementary Teacher of the Year is Alex Alvarez. Alvarez is English Language Arts teacher, the head volleyball coach and is a Native American dancer. He supports all programs at Escambia County Middle School and is definitely making a difference.
Secondary Teacher of the Year selection is an ECMS 18-year veteran – Jon Durant. He is a social studies teacher who continues to show up for the students of Escambia County and make a difference.
