The Christmas House

A photograph doesn’t do it justice. The late Mary Gibbs’ house on Pensacola Avenue has long been known as the Christmas House – and for good reason. Every year, her house is decorated with ribbons and bows, poinsettias and lights and snowmen and wreaths. Even though Mrs. Gibbs passed away earlier this year, her family kept the tradition alive. There are a number of houses around town with yards of lighted characters and scenes. Be sure to check out the house on Ashley Street, just off Main Street.
