Work has been going on inside the old Strand Theater for a long time, but last week, painters were on the outside giving the old building a fresh face. The words “Showtime at the Strand” painted on the building were barely visible. These words were covered years ago with a façade featuring tragedy and comedy masks and an updated version of “Showtime at the Strand.” When the façade was removed, the old words could be seen again … for the last time.
