Martha J. Miller
Ms. Martha J. Miller, age 80, of Mobile, Ala., passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 in Mobile. She was born in Atmore, Ala. to Kelon Augusta and Buna Hardy Norris. She was of the Assemblies of God faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers and three sisters.
Ms. Miller is survived by her son, Chris (Mary) Miller of Mobile; her brothers, Billy (Nancy) Norris of Toronto, Canada and Rev. David (Peggy) Norris of Salisbury, N.C. and her grandchildren, Cody Miller and Hayden Miller.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel in Atmore with Rev. David Norris officiating.

Linda Faye Milstid
Mrs. Linda Faye Milstid, age 75, of Perdido, Ala., passed away Monday, September 5, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Lottie, Ala. to the late William Donald “Pete” and Ida Mae Miller Presley. She was a member of Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Mark Anthony Milstid and Daniel Lee Milstid.
Mrs. Milstid is survived by her husband, Guy Milstid; her sons, Steven (Suzan) Milstid of Ozark, Ala. and Rodney (Theresa) Milstid of Folkston, Ga.; her brother, Rodger Presley of Perdido, Ala.; her sister, Jewel E. Dockins of Booneville, Ala.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 12, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Perdido with Bro. Malcolm Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 12, 2022 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church.

Edna Virginia Norris Emmons
Mrs. Edna Virginia Norris Emmons, age 87, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022, in Jay, Fla. She was born in Atmore, Ala. and resided most of her life in Century, Fla. She retired from Vanity Fair Mills with many years of service. She was a member of Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed time with family and attending family reunions. She loved quilting and sewing, she would make and give all the newborn babies at church quilts. She enjoyed going to church and singing. She enjoyed volunteering at the hospital, reading, and always loved to cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kelon Augusta (Buna Elizabeth Hardee) Norris; husband, Joel Bernard Emmons; six brothers, Aris “Jr” Norris, Howard Norris, A C Norris, Edgar Delano Norris, Joseph Carrol Norris, James Maurice Norris; three sisters, Phariba Myra Lee Rogers, Betty Chisolm White, and Martha June Miller.
Mrs. Emmons is survived by her two sons, Roger Emmons of Century, Fla. and Carl (Terry) Emmons, of Bratt, Fla.; one daughter, Charlotte (Dennis) Ard of Enterprise, Ala.; two brothers, Rev. David (Peggy) Norris of Salisbury, N.C. and Billy (Nancy) Norris, of Toronto, Canada; five grandchildren, Janice, James, Theresa, Michael, Garrett; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives. Funeral service will be held Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church with Rev. Tim Floyd, and Rev. David Norris officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Christopher Allen Dunsford
Mr. Christopher Allen Dunsford, age 57, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Jay, Fla. He was born in Flomaton, Ala. and resided most of his life in Bluff Springs, Fla. He was employed with Masland Carpets with many years of service. He enjoyed going fishing, hunting ad loved mechanicing along beside his daddy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Holley Dunsford; wife, Sherry Dunsford; grandparents, Howard (Ethel) Holley and Herman (Euceder) Dunsford.
Mr. Dunsford is survived by his, father, Clifton Dunsford of Bluff Springs; two sons, Marc (Priscilla) Dunsford of Byrneville, Fla. and Mitch Dunsford of Bluff Springs, Fla.; one sister, Becky (Jamie) Cobb of Bluff Springs; five grandchildren, Cole Dunsford, Brayden Smith, Waylon Dunsford, Gabe Dunsford, Wesley Dunsford; two nieces, Kolbi Cobb, Kendal Payne, other relatives, and friends.

McRay Junior Wilson
Mr. McRay Junior Wilson, age 75, of Brewton, Ala., passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 in Atmore, Ala. He was born on in Escambia County, Ala. He served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He later worked as an electrician. He was one of ten siblings.
He was survived by his son, Lee Wilson of Elizabeth City, N.C.; his daughter, Lisa Miano of Virginia Beach, Va. and four grandchildren, Tommy Wilson, Garrett Wilson, Lucas Miano and Stanley Miano.
Inurnment will follow at a later date.

Helen Mae Jones
Ms. Helen Mae Jones, age 89, of Walnut Hill, Fla., passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 in Atmore, Ala. She was born in Nokomis, Ala. to the late James T. and Mae Cook Jones. She worked for many years for Maxwell, Haley and Castleberry many years before she retired. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Jones and Doris Fuqua.
Ms. Jones is survived by her nephew, Lavon (Cindy) Ledkins and two nieces, Helen (Jack) Jenkins, all of Foley, Ala. and Susan (Jimmy) Hamby of Elberta, Ala. and many great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Bro. Don Sanks officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore, Ala.

Jerry W. Cochran
Mr. Jerry W. Cochran, age 84, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Friday, September 9, 2022 in Atmore. He was born in Atmore to the late Thomas Jefferson “T.J.” and Alice James Cochran. He graduated from Atmore High School, attended The University of Alabama and was a graduate of Mississippi State University. He owned and operated Jerry’s Hardware and Auto Parts for many years before his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Warren Adams.
Mr. Cochran is survived by his wife, Ginger Bryan Cochran of Atmore; three daughters, Beth (Floyd) Wilson and Cathi (Tom) Benner, all of Atmore, and Lana Jacobson (Jeff) Blackmon of Hoover, Ala; one brother, Ronald (Judy) Cochran of Atmore and one sister, Sheila Adams of Orange Beach, Ala.; four grandchildren, Jennifer Cole, Katie Martin, Rachel Blackmon and Wesley Blackmon; four great-grandchildren, Addison Respress, Brandan Cole, Jaxon Cole and Luke Martin.
Memorial services will be held Monday, September 12, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Davis officiating.

Mr. Cleveland Thomas “Tom” Hyatt, age 73, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 in Atmore, Ala. He was a lifelong resident of Bay Minette, Ala. He drove a “Big Truck” and enjoyed mechanicing for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and riding his buggy and golf cart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleve (Minerva Richerson) Hyatt, Jr.
Mr. Hyattt is survived by his three sons, Michael (Cassie) Hyatt of Pensacola, Fla., Chris (Hope) Hyatt of Atmore, and Ryan (Meagen) Hyatt, of Canoe, Ala.; three brothers, Randy (Deborah) Hyatt, of Rabun, Ala., Michael (Pamela) Hyatt of Stockton, Ala. and Samuel (Tammy) Hyatt of Excel, Ala.; two sisters, Carol Bundy and Linda (Bill) Lees all of Daphne, Ala.; fifteen grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, Shelby, Kirstin, Tyler, Anna, Layla, Cameron, Braidin, Callie, Hayden, Bella, Chloe Elijah, Jase; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Mrs. Ruby Lee Hadley, age 90, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022 at her home in Perdido, Ala.; surrounded by family by her bedside. She resided most of her life in Perdido. She retired from Vanity Fair Mills with many years of service. She was a member of Halls Fork Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed talking and telling her many stories. She was an avid “Elvis Presley” fan, and had the “Love” for her “Cadillac’s”. She enjoyed going to church. She was a big collector over the years with a big collection of “Vinyl Records.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Earl and Carleen Hadley Heathcock; one son, Billy Findley and one brother, Thomas Heathcock.
Mrs. Hadley is survived by her loving husband of fifty years, Bradley Hadley of Perdido; two sons, Don Findley of Lottie, Ala, and Tommy (Kay) Findley, of St. Rose, La.; one daughter, Susan Barlow of Brewton, Ala.; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Weaver, Donnie Findley, Bridget Bryars, Crystal Jackson, Angela Ramer, Dustin Findley, Staci Chastang, Jacob Chastang, Landon Findley; fifteen great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives.

Dorothy Evelyn Moore
Mrs. Dorothy Evelyn Moore, age 90, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022, at her home in Atmore, Ala. She was born in Davisville, Fla. and resided the last sixty years in Atmore. She retired from Monsanto with many years of service. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed time with her family and going to family reunions. She just always loved to stay busy, doing something.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hilton Pinky and Verchie Godwin Davis; five brothers, Hilton Davis, Sonny Davis, Charles Davis, Clarence Davis, James Davis and one sister, Aileen Davis Singletary and one granddaughter, Tonya Gilbert.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her one son, Glenn (Dianna) Moore of Alabaster, Ala.; one daughter, Lana (Rick) Melvin of Atmore; two grandchildren, Morgan and Zachary; two great-grandchildren, Dalton and Brittany; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
