Brothers arrested; crack, pot, pills found

Two Atmore brothers were arrested July 12 on various drug possession and distribution charges after city police narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at a Wilkerson Street residence.
The raid was conducted around 5:05 p.m. and yielded Tramadol pills, Ecstasy pills, a green leafy substance that field-tested positive for marijuana and two grinders. One grinder had marijuana residue in it; the other had a white powdery substance that field-tested positive for cocaine.
Also discovered scattered around the residence were a clear baggy that contained several white rocks that field-tested positive for cocaine, digital scales, and more baggies that contained other illicit substances or residue.
Tracy Murphy, 49, was charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute. Corderal Murphy, 33, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance (crack and Ecstasy), as well as one count each of second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Curtis Smith, 54, of Atmore was also at the residence when the raid went down and was also arrested. Smith is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance (cocaine and Tramadol), second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
