The Rev. Dr. Monroe Tucker Jr. and Sister Nora Tucker have served 38 years in the ministry. Later this month, they will step down at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. Such a milestone cannot go without celebration. The congregation invites all to attend a Retirement Celebration for the couple Sunday, April 24, 3 p.m.
The theme for the service is “Praising God for a Fruitful Harvest of Love and Service.”
Scripture is Galatians 5:22-23: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: Against such there is no law.”
Guest minister for the celebration is the Rev. Dr. Timothy J. Woods Sr., Pastor, Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, Birmingham.
