Cheryl Ann Matthews
Mrs. Cheryl Ann Matthews, age 66, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 in Repton, Ala. She was born in Atmore, Ala. and has resided most of her life in Repton. She valued the time she spent with her family. She loved fishing, quilting, and riding the motorcycle with Joe. She was a good caregiver. She enjoyed attending church, singing, and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joe Jeter and Effie Lee Caraway Cumbie; three brothers, Earl Jeter, Edwin Jeter, Danny Jeter; one sister, Patsy Cumbie Taylor and one nephew, Quinton Adam Peavy.
Mrs. Matthews is survived by her loving husband of twenty-nine and half years, Joe Matthews, of Repton; one son, Charles (Jessica) Matthews, of Silver Springs, Md.; two sisters, Sherry Jeter Buckhault, of Atmore and Marilyn Cumbie Peavy (Curtis Moye) of Uriah, Ala.; two grandchildren, Owen Matthews, Phoebe Matthews and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Petty- Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC with Rev. Larry Beauchamp officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC

Janice Loette Dagen Parker
Mrs. Janice Loette Dagen Parker, age 79, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021. She was born in Dry Springs, Fla. to William “Bill” and Aggidean Barlow Dagen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eddie Parker; her siblings, Gladys Dagen, LaVerne D. Warren, Rita Bolton and Robert L. Dagen.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her son, John Andy Cannon of Walnut Hill, Fla.; her daughter, Gwen Parker of Walnut Hill; her grandchildren, Brittany Tutton (Lo Pollard), Kelsey (Neal) Phillips, Parker Tutton and Caren Cannon along with six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Pine Barren Cemetery in Davisville, Fla. Interment will follow at Pine Barren Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Dana Meri Whiting
Dana Meri Whiting, age 55, of Ormond Beach, Fla., passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021. She was born in Jacksonville, Fla. to Walter Hogge and Anita Polson Zilcosky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Arthur Whiting and her granddaughter, Braylee Ann Chevelle Lambert.
Mrs. Whiting is survived by her parents, Walte (Geanette) Hogge of Hampton, Va. And Anita Zilcosky of Jacksonville, Fla.; her fiancé, Donald Rebello; her children, Nicholas Whiting of Pensacola, Fla, Leslie Whiting (Ray Baxley) of Perdido, Ala. and Justin Whiting of Orlando; her sister, Tina Peach of Palm Coast, Fla. and her grandchildren, Sheyanne Lambert, Allison Lambert and Keira Peacock.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Don Sanks officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Walnut Hill.

Douglas B. Snider
Mr. Douglas B. Snider, age 91, of Huxford, Ala., passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021 at his home. He was born in Huxford to Ambrose Jesse Snider and Georgia Ann Nolin Snider. He was the owner and operator of Doug Snider Roofing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings and one son, Randy Lamar Snider. He was the last surviving sibling of four brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Snider is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Judith Marie Henderson Snider, a native of Castleberry, Ala. but resides in Huxford; his children, Gwendolyn Marie Snider Silcox, Sandra Darlene Snider Fortune, Wanda Susan Snider, Kenneth Ray Snider, Karen Kay Snider, Wendell Thomas Snider, Timothy Lee Snider, Sherry Jacqueline Snider Strength, Marsha Renee Snider Wilson; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 at Huxford Baptist Church Cemetery in Huxford at 2 p.m. with Bro. Doug Odom of Atmore Baptist Temple officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Edward Charles Redmond
Mr. Edward Charles “LueLue” Redmond, age 66, of Walnut Hill, Fla., passed away Monday, November 8, 2021. He was born in Walnut Hill to John Henry and Annie Pearl Redmond. He was educated in the school system of Ransom School and attended Ernest Ward High School. He was a cement finisher by trade and worked as a construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Williams and Johnnie Jones; parents; siblings, Alonzo (Gussie Lee) Redmond and William Redmond.
Mr. Redmond is survived by his children, James (Shante) Washington, Jakeshia Redmond, Edward Charles., Charlene (Chuck) Redmond-Caruthers; mother of his children, Linda Redmond of Orlando, Fla; twelve grandchildren and a special bond with three, Ashawnta Washington, Mariah Gibson and Jaquez Redmond and four great-grandchildren; brothers, John Earl (Lunell) Redmond of Atmore, Raymond (Irma) Redmond of Walnut Hill; sister, Mildred For of Walnut Hill; aunt, Lillian Kinsey of Orlando; sister-in-law, Ernestine Redmond of Pensacola, Fla; a host of nieces and nephews; special friends, Harold Green, Michael Moorer, Tommy Knotts, Tony Peacock, Torris Richardson and Kenny Thames.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 11 a.m. at House of Prayer with Host Pastor, Dany Fountain and Pastor Raymond Redmond, Eulogist. Interment followed at New Saint Paul Church Cemetery, Walnut Hill.

Willie Clem “Huck-A-Buck” Frye
Mr. Willie Clem “Huck-A-Buck” Frye, age 72, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Rosewood Health Care Facility in Pensacola, Fla. He was born to Orah Lee Peoples in Mobile, Ala and was later adopted by Clem and Lillie Bell Hollinger-Frye. He was a 1967 graduate of Escambia County High School. During his youth he moved around to New York to N.J. and places in between exploring many opportunities. He was a true music lover and began working with a gospel recording label, MCG Records. He was a devoted member of Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his biological mother; loving parents; brother, Lester “Meat Ball” Frye and William Vincent “Billy Bang’ Walker; sisters, Mary Bell Frye-Thomas, Rosa Barns and Vanessa Barnes.
Mr. Frye is survived by his wife, Louise Frye and his four children, Melanie Smith, La’ron (Sharmeika) Boyd, Jermaine Frye and Caila Frye; two step-children, Rathesia Garrett and LaShannel Garret-Jones; grandchildren, LaNedria Neal, Kossim Boyd, Jada ‘’Boyd, Jaiya Frye, Dajoni McKenzie, Aujon McKenzie, Darnell McKenzie, DaLashia Jones; great-grandchildren, Ja’Khari Boyd, Kha’lani Boyd, Ka’lynn Boyd, Ma’Kai Boyd; two sisters, Better Packard, Gloria Barnes Hill; one brother, Kenneth Gravely; one aunt, Naomi Spradley; father-in-law, James Bullard; Godmother, Dorothy Lee and God sisters and brother (Lewis Lee and Clarence Lee); numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Christian Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor, Darlene McMillan, eulogist/officiant. Interment followed in Pierce-Rabb Family Cemetery in Freemanville, Ala.

Ronnie Lee Boatwright
Mr. Ronnie Lee Boatwright, age 61, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 in Flomaton, Ala. He was born in Atmore, Ala. and has resided most of his life in Barrineau Park, Fla. He enjoyed watching TV and raking yards.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Jones; grandparents, Irvin and Frances Mitchell; one uncle, Eugene Mitchell; one aunt, Phyllis Joyner and Leon Joyner and two cousins.
Mr. Boatwright is survived by his mother, Rose Baldwin, of Flomaton, Ala.; a special friend, Janice Peterson; two brothers, Ricky (Traci) Boatwright, of Walnut Hill, Fla. and James Jones, of Flomaton, Ala.; two sisters, Patsy (Roger) Hart, of Barrineau Park and Susie Miller, of Molino, Fla.; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Pugh’s Chapel Assembly of God Church with Chaplain: Ricky Tedder, officiating. Burial will follow at Pugh’s Chapel Cemetery.
